Amy Rose, Chair
Amy Rose is an attorney at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey (US) LLP and focuses her practicefocuses her practice on federal and state court litigation including contract and business tort cases, insurance coverage disputes, unfair competition claims and appellate matters. She advises international clients in a range of industries and practice areas including real estate, telecommunications and media, insurance, banking and transportation. A member of the firm’s Appellate & Supreme Court Practice Group, her experience includes petitions for writ of certiorari to the US Supreme Court, appeals in both the Sixth and Ninth Circuits, and a number of appeals and writs before the California Court of Appeal. Ms. Rose also volunteers her time for pro bono appellate matters in the Sixth and Ninth Circuits including habeas corpus petitions, Section 1983 claims, employment matters and asylum appeals.
Ms. Rose is a member of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law’s Board of Governors. She is also an alumni coach and consultant for the University of California, Hastings College of the Law’s nationally acclaimed moot court program, where she coaches second- and third-year law students competing in the John Marshall Law School International Moot Court Competition in Information Technology and Privacy Law and the University of Wisconsin Law School Evan A. Evans Constitutional Law Competition. Ms. Rose was named 2008-2009 Alumni Coach of the Year.
In 2009 and 2010 Ms. Rose was named a Rising Star in the Northern California Super Lawyer’s magazine, a distinction that recognizes outstanding attorneys who are 40 years old or younger or who have been practicing for 10 years or less.
Ms. Rose is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Legal Community Against Violence and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law Board of Governors of the Alumni Association.
Noah Lichtenstein, Past Chair
Noah is a founding member of HomeRun.com and currently leads sales and strategic partner initiatives. Prior to HomeRun, Noah served as President and COO of a leading corporate safety and emergency response company, and led Business Development efforts at WeatherBill. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of the Bay Area and holds and Honors degree in American Studies and Political Science from Stanford University.
Katie Colendich
Katie is a transactional attorney with O’Melveny & Myers LLP in San Francisco. Her practice focuses on representing issuers and investment banks in registered offerings and private placements of debt and equity. Katie also advises corporations on securities law compliance, disclosure issues and corporate governance matters. Katie received her B.A. in English and her B.S. in political science from Santa Clara University, with honors, and a J.D. from the University of Washington, School of Law. She is on the board of directors of TMC Development Working Solutions, active in the Junior League of San Francisco and Full Circle Fund, and a supporter of Spark and the International Museum of Women. In her free time, Katie enjoys tennis, traveling, classical guitar, running and learning new languages.
Lars Hellerslien
Lars Hellerslien works in the Business Banking group at Bank of America where he works with hundreds of small to mid size companies in San Francisco. A proud Banana Slug, Lars received his undergraduate degree at UC Santa Cruz and recently started a part time MBA through the UC Berkeley-Haas EWMBA program.
Lars was born in Norway and shares an appreciation for his heritage as well as other cultures. In addition to his passionate commitment to United Way of the Bay Area and Emerging Leaders, he is the treasurer and board member of Norway Day Inc, a non-profit volunteer organization that puts on an annual festival promoting Norwegian culture. He also is a member of the Norwegian Club, which has been around longer than Norway has had its independence.
In October 2009, Lars married his lovely wife, Kathryn, who is an Event Coordinator with the Fort Mason Foundation.

Brett Studholme
Brett Studholme is the Client Manager Sales Manager in the Bay Area and Sacramento for US Bank. Brett has been in his current role since 2007, and has been a Vice President with the organization since 2006. He manages two teams that are responsible for managing the largest business banking relationships in Northern California. Prior to his current position he worked as a Client Manager in Business Banking for US Bank in Seattle, WA.
Brett earned a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Business Administration from the Foster School of Business – University of Washington. He is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School. His hobbies include hiking and traveling. In recent years, Brett has hiked in the Andes, Caucasus, Cascades and Sierra Nevada Mountain Ranges. His summits include Mt. Rainier, Whitney, Aconcagua and Elbrus.
Prior to his volunteer work with United Way, Brett served as a Board Member for Goodwill Industries in Seattle. Brett is excited about serving on the Emerging Leaders Steering Committee with a motivated and engaged group of peers. He looks forwards to helping reduce poverty by 50% in the Bay Area over the next ten years.
Ryan Takemoto
Ryan is a Senior Competition Counsel at Visa Inc. As a member of Visa’s global competition team, he advises on antitrust and competition law issues that arise around the world. Prior to Visa, Ryan was a senior associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP in San Francisco where he practiced antitrust and unfair competition litigation. He received a degree in Biology from the University of Utah and law degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law. He is excited about the opportunities that the United Way of the Bay Area provides to contribute to the community and is looking forward to helping meet the goal of cutting Bay Area poverty in half by 2020.
