Join United Way of the Bay Area’s Emerging Leaders and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman for an evening of “spirited” networking. United Way’s Emerging Leaders is a dynamic group of young professionals driven to create lasting change and reduce poverty in the Bay Area through philanthropy, volunteerism and community leadership. Come hear about accomplishments to date and what’s on tap as we begin 2012.

Our special guest speaker this evening will be Vaughn Walker. Walker is a former judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He presided over such notable lawsuits as the litigation involving warrantless wiretapping under the Terrorist Surveillance Program and the Apple Computer, Inc. v. Microsoft Corporation copyright infringement case, among others.

Black tie season will soon be upon us, but you can leave your tux and gown at home for this ball. Join United Way of the Bay Area’s Tocqueville Society and Emerging Leaders for a delightful evening of dining and dancing.

To entice your taste buds, food will be provided by Off the Grid, San Francisco’s hip roaming food extravaganza. Entertainment will be provided by unique Bay Area musicians, poets, and other local artists. All proceeds will benefit United Way’s SparkPoint program and our efforts to cut Bay Area poverty in half by 2020.
